I've never sailed before and was nervous and our instructor's approach was encouraging and attentive to ensure everyone in our group got the best tips on how to improve. His friendly personality was an added bonus! I would highly recommend anyone considering lessons to sign up here. “I had a bad river kayaking accident a few years ago...
I felt super nervous about getting in the water. My instructor was amazing!!!! Super calming and walked us through each step prior to getting in the water. She made sure we all felt confident and safe and she made sure she answered all questions! By the end of the class I wanted to just stay in the water! I can't wait to take more classes! ... and I also took the Essentials of Sea Kayaking class, so it was a big year. The CBC allowed me a way to experience Bellingham from a different point of view, a way to meet other people, a way to relax, and a way to improve my skills and confidence on the water. After a year and a half of the pandemic it was so wonderful to safely interact with other people. I learned to go with the flow and not fight the water.
