Let nature be your next event venue. Whether you’re interested in a small private cruise for your family, an exciting birthday party splashing through the bay, or treating your team to a fully-catered mini America’s Cup Regatta, the Community Boating Center will exceed your expectations.
Group rates are available for parties 4+ at a rate of $40 per hour per person. Minimum 2 hours. A 20% Service Charge will be applied to the event.

Bioluminescence Paddle
Private Experience for up to 30 people.
Experience the Wonder of Bioluminescence at Night!
Bioluminescence is the production and emission of light by a living organism. But experiencing it is so much more! It’s pure imagination! It is found throughout marine habitats, and lucky for us, can be found locally in Bellingham Bay from June-September. Our Bioluminescence Paddles often sell out, so reserve your space soon!
Coastal Explorer
Private Experience for up to 30 people.
We’re Here to Have Fun! – Join us for a guided afternoon of sea kayaking!
We will pick a destination as a group and start with a short introduction to equipment, paddle strokes and safety.
Once we’re on the water we’re free to enjoy the glide!
Keep an eye out for critters, the starfish are colorful and the seals are curious!
With beautiful Bellingham to the north and luscious Larabee state park to the south, there is plenty to explore. All while silently slipping over riveting rock formations!

The ultimate team building event- foster a competitive spirit & challenge old boundaries with our mini America’s Cup! Each boat will have an Instructor onboard
The beauty of the Bay, Baker and San Juan Islands will provide the photo opportunities of a lifetime.
Private Charter
Private Charter for a Captain and up to 5 Passengers.
Spend a few hours or a whole day aboard our J24! You pick the time and we’ll provide you with a US Sailing Instructor. They’ll show you the ropes & you can sit back and relax while we get underway or try your hand at sailing!
Facilities Usage
- 10- 20 Person Event Facility Use – Full day (8 hours): $400
- Includes access to our BBQ, trash/recycling, and tables and chairs
- 10- 20 Person Event Facility Use – $70/ hr
- Includes all facility usage, staff oversight (BBQ, Trash/Recycling, tables and chairs)
- <10 Person Event Facility Use – Full day (8 hours): $200
- Includes access to our BBQ, trash/recycling, and tables and chairs
- <10 Person Event Facility Use – $50/hr
- Includes all facility usage, staff oversight (BBQ, Trash/Recycling, tables and chairs)
- Alcohol Service: $100
- Includes access to our kegerator and the proper permit needed for the event; purchase of alcohol can be coordinated for an additional fee.
- No hard alcohol is permitted onsite and the consumption of alcohol is not allowed before or during the on-the-water component of the program
- Additional Staff time as needed (per hour): $25
